Mango is a delicious fruit of the Indian subcontinent. The color is green when raw and yellow when ripe. Mango is known as the national fruit of India. Mangifera indica is the scientific name of the species cultivated in Bangladesh and India. It is a member of the Anacardiaceae family. However, there are about 35 species of mangoes in the world. There are different varieties of mango, such as Fazli, Langra, Gopalbhog, Khirsa, Aruna, Amrapali, Mallika, Subarnarekha, Misridana, Nilambri, Kalibhog, Kanchamitha, Alfonso, Baromasi, Totapuri, Karabau, Keii Saui, Gopal Khas, Triphala, Haribhanga, Chhatapara, Guthali, Lakhna, Adaira, Kalabati etc. Mango is widely grown in Malda, Murshidabad, India. The mango tree has been taken as the symbol of the national tree of Bangladesh. Mango cultivation is more prevalent in Rajshahi, Naogaon and Chapainawabganj of Bangladesh. I am called the 'King of Fruits'. And the mango tree is called the national tree.
